Situated on the southwestern side of the City of Cleveland, Old Brooklyn is a large neighborhood wedged between Brooklyn to the west and Brooklyn Heights and Cuyahoga Heights to the east. Old Brooklyn is a very popular neighborhood for residential real estate investors, both local and out-of-town.
The neighborhood is generally quite stable, and has easy access to virtually anywhere in the Cleveland area due to its adjacency to I-480 and central location. The area consists primarily of detached single family houses and duplexes, but there are a number of apartment buildings in Old Brooklyn as well. The majority of the housing stock was built between the early 1920s through the 1950s, but there are some sections that were developed a bit later, with houses built from the 1960s to as late as the ’90s.
Overall, Old Brooklyn is an area with very strong rental demand and solid housing stock, so it can be a great place for investors looking for decent cash flow as well as long term value stability and growth potential.
